Call to Action (CTA)
The specific instruction that tells the reader exactly what to do next — "Start free trial", "Get the cheatsheet".
Churn Rate
The percentage of customers who cancel or stop paying over a given period — the rate at which you lose customers.
Click-Through Rate (CTR)
The percentage of people who click a link, ad, or email out of everyone who saw it.
Cohort Analysis
Grouping users by a shared start point (e.g. signup month) to track how their behavior evolves over time.
Conversion Rate
The percentage of people who take a desired action (signup, purchase) out of everyone who had the opportunity.
Copywriting
Writing words whose job is to drive a specific action — the persuasion layer of marketing.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
The total cost of marketing and sales divided by the number of new customers it acquired — what it costs to win one customer.
