Marketing Funnel

A marketing funnel is the staged journey a person moves through from first awareness of your product to becoming a paying customer — typically awareness, interest, consideration, and conversion. It is called a funnel because fewer people remain at each successive stage.

Why it matters for developers

Thinking in funnel stages shows you exactly where prospects drop off, so you fix the real bottleneck instead of guessing. It turns "we need more customers" into a specific, measurable diagnosis.
