Free Trial
A free trial gives prospects full or near-full access to a paid product for a limited period — commonly 7 to 30 days — after which they must subscribe to keep using it. Trials can be opt-in (no card required) or opt-out (card required up front).
Why it matters for developers
A free trial lets prospects experience real value before paying, which can dramatically increase conversion when the product delivers a clear "aha" moment quickly. Optimizing time-to-value during the trial is the key lever.
