Click-Through Rate (CTR)
Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of people who click a specific link out of everyone who saw it. If an email reaches 1,000 people and 50 click the link, the CTR is 5%. It applies to ads, search results, emails, and any clickable element.
Why it matters for developers
CTR measures how compelling your message is at the moment of decision. Small improvements to headlines, subject lines, and ad copy lift CTR — and a higher CTR feeds more qualified traffic into the rest of your funnel.
