// definition
Landing Page
A landing page is a standalone web page designed around a single objective, such as capturing an email or starting a trial. Unlike a homepage, it removes distractions and navigation so the visitor focuses on one call to action.
Why it matters for developers
Landing pages are where traffic becomes customers. A focused landing page routinely outconverts sending the same traffic to a general homepage, which is why they are the workhorse of direct response campaigns.
