The goal of Email 2 is empathy, not selling. You’re building a mirror — when subscribers read it, they should think “this person gets exactly what I’m dealing with.” That’s the foundation of trust that makes every future email more effective.

The key to upsell sequences is timing the trigger correctly. An upsell email to a user who signed up yesterday feels like a cash grab. Win-back sequences have two outcomes, both valuable: you either re-engage a user and recover revenue, or you confirm they’re gone and remove them from your list.
